"Mount Sinai... Public event"

           When one begins to search for Religion, it is best to go to the origin and evaluate the story of the history of the original revelation of that faith. Judaism is known to have started with Abraham who taught people to G-d and brought them to monotheism.

        The Jewish Nation and their official begining  and their official beginning was an event known as the revelation of recieving the Torah at Mount Sinai. The Torah testifies that there were 600,000 men between the ages of 20 and 60. With simply adding one wife per male plus adding all those above 60 years old, you would have close to or more than 3 million people.

        The amazing aspect of this revelation is that it was a "public event" and that each person there heard G-ds' voice speak the first two commandments. Everyone there had a similar experience.

        Do you believe that if G-d were to undo such an event, which he certainly didn't, He would do it through one single messenger? He would need to have at least an equal size notification of his change. no one denies the "SINAI" experience.

        We as Jews owe it to ourselves to learn our heritage in order to reconnect to that which each of us wittnessed at Sinai. Let's not sell our G-d and our Religion short. We know the truth, We have the truth, Lets keep the truth!!

"Always Question... missionaries"

        missionaries are very professional at sounding intillectual and knowledgable about the Bible. They are even better at sounding sincere about caring about you! That sincerity tends to end quickly if you have answers to their claims or ask them questions that they have never thought of before. At that time they find every excuse under the sun to break off their conversation with you.                           

        They are not interested in honest and open discussion. They are simply    "SOUL SNACHERS"  looking for someone they can snag and plant seeds of doubt in their mind. They never run out of time when they find their perfect "PATSY".

        Every Jew must know that missionaries are trained in the specific verses that they use to create doubt in Jews minds. In all cases, they should be questioned and the best advice is to write down the verses quoted and then call Torah Life and Living (www.tll.org) so that we can show you the game that is being played on you.

        Always ask what the next verse says after the one that they quoted you!! Don't be overly impressed with their supposed knowledge. Always question and check their verses in context, with someone knowledgable Jewishly.

        You owe it to yourself and the Jewish people to stay a proud and identified jew!!

"We are the Original"

        It often seems that we Jews are spiritually unhappy and are always looking to find meaning for our lives in all different places. We always seem to be impressed by people who seem to be so sincere and dedicated to what it is they believe in. We let them take us on a ride through an emotional rollercoaster and lead us into any belief that sort of sounds good. It is important for us to realize that Judaism is the "ORIGINAL" and is the greatest belief system in  the world. The problem is that we, in general, know so little about our religion, that we really can't compare it to what we are being sold by missionaries or cults.

        We are often fooled by the externals and follow blindly and often go on a path of trying to spread the good news with our families and friends. We look for their approval and blessing of our new found faith which then emboldens us to even go further in our search.

        It is time to learn the ORIGINAL and realize the beauty within our own beliefs. We can protect our children by teaching them Judaism with pride and dignity. We are G-ds chosen let,s appreciate it and live it.

"G-d does not demand or expect perfection"

         

I have heard many times that a person claims if he can't do all the laws he won't do any.  This is a noble attempt by someone to rationalize their lack of religiosity.  They claim they don't want to be a hypocrite.  It is this "all or nothing" attitude that causes people to make silly decisions.
         This attitude is born from the major misconception that G-d demand or expects perfection in our serving him.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  There is no way that any Jew could keep all the commandments in the Torah.  We can only keep them all as a Jewish nation living in Israel with a king ruling over us.
          Another proof of G-d not demanding perfection, is the fact, that one of the commandments is the law of "teshuva-repentance".  The one thing this law informs us is that in order to fulfill its you must  first sin.
         Therefore to all our Jews will use this silly rationale of "all or nothing" I say stop fooling yourselves and began doing something for G-d, even if only a little bit.  Everything you do will serve you well and you would be amazed at how good you will feel!!!

"Pick on someone your own size"

           The problem i have with missionaries is that they don't missionize fairly. I recognize that Christianity demands proselytizing but they don't just talk to any Jews.the new testament says "and unto the Jew first." They search for and target Jews who have very little knowledge and connection to their Jewishness. These are the people who they never get tired of talking to. They will take advantage of their simple faith in the bible, and love to quote verses that are almost always taken out of context and misquoted. They take advantage of people that just don't realize the games these missionaries are playing.

        In most cases, in my experience, these self-deluding, phony Hippocrates never find time to spend with people who know the verses and who can show them the lies they try to push on unsuspecting Jews.

    This is why i call these missionaries "SOUL SNATCHERS" who will do and say ANYTHING that will help them get a Jew to believe. I find their behavior shameful and i believe does a disservice to true religious search and true religion.
        This is why i urge every Jew to contact Torah Life and Living if they are ever approached by anyone in a missionary organization and verify what they have been told. we can stop the losses of Jews being tricked and leaving their Judaism.

Jews dont proselytize.... Why?

        It is very interesting that Jews do not go out and missionize or proselytize their faith. In fact, we even try to dissuade non-Jews who say they want to convert. We try three times to explain to them that they don't need to convert to make it to Heaven. We ask them why they would want to expose themselves to the horrors of anti-semitism. We discuss reward and punishment and the difficulty that exists in keeping all of the commandments of Judaism. However, when the person still claims that they want to convert properly ... A Jewish court sets up a system of study and after that time of study ends, and the person passes they are then converted and fully welcomed into the Jewish people.

        Why don't Jews proselytize? It is not one of the commandments because we believe that there are many roads to G-d. One can be a Christian or a muslim or whatever and still be able to serve and relate to G-d. Someone not Jewish can attain heaven according to Judaism so we don't feel the need to try and convert anyone to be Jewish.

        When you try and replace the ORIGINAL, the way you feel that you are right is by convincing more and more people to join your religion. Judaism never felt the need to convert people to know that it was the correct religion. We cherish being the "Chosen People" and we try our bests to live up to that title.

T,B,X,Q,Z,A,Y

        What a great way to learn the English language? It doesn't make sense does it? So why when Jews are approached by missionaries are they taught or shown the bible in such a fashion? I wouldn't mind if they would tell us to read the book in order. How does one get to Isaiah 53 without reading the first 52 chapters? How can Leviticus 17:11 make sense without reading the begining of the book?

        Regardless this is how Jews are tricked into thinking that the missionaries might be right. Once they plant the thought in your head, they feel free to find one verse to show you that "SEEMS" to back up what they are saying. In most cases, the missionaries have taken the verse out of context or mistranslated it, or even worse, fabricated the entire verse. Unfortunately, the poor unsuspecting and uneducated Jew is not aware enough to smell a rat or is too naive to believe that this missionary may be lying to him. Lets try and have honest discussions and lets see what happens then. I know the missionaries wont do that!!

"Don't have to be Jewish to love Levys' rye bread"

        The beauty of Judaism in relation to Christianity is that we open up Heaven to any righteous Gentile and we do not make the claim that you have to be Jewish to get into Heaven.
        On the other hand, though Christians are constantly trying to scare the hell into us by quoting
John 14:6 which states "And jesus said "I am the truth, the life and the way, no one comes onto the father but through me". This is why Christians are always proselytizing and trying to get people to give up their Faith and convert.
        We the Jews are only interested in teaching non Jews the 7 universal laws known as the
"Noachide laws". We teach that if Gentiles observe these 7 laws they can achieve Heaven just like Jews who are required to keep all 613 commandments that are found in the Bible.
        I believe that our belief speaks of a G-d that makes serving Him and relating to him available to everyone no matter what their faith or Religion is.That is why Jews have never tried to proselytize anyone and can relate to all faiths. The "My way or the highway" approach has has been responsible for the tragic, bloody, suffering existence that the Jews have been forced to endure since the birth of Christianity.
